Hi there, I'm Debra.

Book coach. Multi-award-winning author. Hollywood story consultant.

I help writers, coaches, speakers, podcasters, and creative entrepreneurs to tell and sell their stories.

My story adventure began in script development for film and TV, including script reading for Showtime Networks. Reading made me fall in love with writing and helping others write stories that sell. My clients have sold their stories to Warner Brothers, Disney, ABC, DreamWorks, Fox, and FX. 

And then...a gut-wrenching breakup blindsided me. I journaled my way through the pain and heartache. My writing saved me. Those journals would change my life. They inspired me to write, "He Did You a Favor," which catapulted me from unknown writer to award-winning author and expert...in less than a year. 

My students/clients have become bestselling authors and have landed film and television deals. They've called me: “A writer’s best kept secret," "a total book guru," and “the Fairy Godmother of words.”

• How to create a sizzling synopsis that highlights the best parts of your book, evokes curiosity, and captures the attention of the reader.
• How to create a smash hit title and tagline.
• How to craft a hook that magnifies your message and improves your book’s chance of getting discovered.

Module 3

PLAN YOUR BOOK: THE STORY OUTLINE

Creating a solid story map before you start sets you up for writing success, every awesome step of the way. With this story plan, you’ll never be caught in the “messy middle” or be confused about what to do next.

PUBLISHING

SELF-PUBLISHING
You don’t necessarily have to be a big publisher or a publicity maven to publish and promote a book. I’ll give you a doable plan, along with effective publishing and marketing strategies.

o You’ll learn how and when to publish your book to get the best results.
o You'll get the top self-publishing tips for today's market.
